Missouri Governor Dixon has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Missouri at all state government buildings in Boone County be flown at half-staff on Feb. 27 in honor of Lieutenant Bruce Britt, of the Columbia Fire Department.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has ordered that the U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in all 114 counties and the City of St. Louis be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, April 18, to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Specialist Jeffrey Lee White Jr.

Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Missouri at all state government buildings in St. Charles and Lincoln counties be flown at half-staff on Monday (Feb. 6) in honor of Douglas D. "Doug" Haase, a firefighter with the City of St. Charles Fire Department. Firefighter Haase died in the line of duty on Feb. 1, 2012.

Flags will fly at half-staff at all state government buildings Wednesday to honor a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer who died while patrolling floodwaters in northwest Missouri in August.

Missouri Governor Nixon has ordered all flags at all state and government offices statewide to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in honor of Special Warfare Operator Chief Petty Officer (Seal) Matthew D. Mason who died serving his country in Afghanistan. The Governor has also ordered all flags at all State and government offices to be flown at half-staff in Clay County only, from Wednesday, August 17, 2011 until sunset on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in memory of Chief Petty Officer Matthew D. Mason.

Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered that the U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in all 114 counties and the City of St. Louis be flown at half-staff on April 29 to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Specialist Joseph B. Cemper. Specialist Cemper, age 21, of Warrensburg, was a soldier in the United States Army serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He died on Apr. 16 of injuries sustained from a grenade attack on Forward Operating Base Gamberi, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.
